Dell XPS 15z Looks And Feel
XPS 15z resembles very much to MacBook Pro. However you can differentiate between the two with dark color palm rest and hinge design in the former. The notebook is made of high quality metal which lends it a robust look and feel. The outside of the machine is constructed out of milled aluminum while the palm rest is made up of magnesium alloy. The screen bezel is also made of metal and the machine feels great to touch. The Chrome trim around the edges of the machine gives it a great style and in pressure the chassis hardly bends. The display hinge lends stability to the display and can be easily opened with one hand.
However, we felt that the ribbed barrel hinge is a bit out of place and with dimensions measuring 15.2 x 10.3 inches, XPS is a bit larger than MacBook Pro which measures 14.4 x 9.8 inches. It is also thinner than Macbook Pro by 1 inch. This makes Dell XPS 15z the thinnest 15 inch notebook on planet, but users will hardly be able to notice the difference. Weight of XPS 15z is more or less equal to 15 inch MacBook Pro which makes it easily portable. Continue reading
